Guide: Victoria VIE (SD61) Summer Camp Application Online Form

If your child has not been vaccinated or is behind in their vaccination schedule, please have them vaccinated prior to coming to BC. In the event there is an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease at your child’s school and your child is unprotected or there is no record of their vaccination, your child may be asked to stay home until it is safe to return. They may miss several days or weeks of school. This is to protect your child and their classmates.

The information you provide is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Section 10 Custodianship / Privately Arranged Homestay

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requires that each student have a custodian (guardian) in the community.  Victoria International Education (VIE) is willing to accept this responsibility should you wish.  If you require homestay placement from VIE you must answer YES to the Require Custodianship question.

If you answer NO, the student must have an adult custodian who is either a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Victoria and will make private arrangements for homestay.  Please provide custodian information in the spaces below and submit a notarized declaration of custodianship to the program office.  Homestay needs to be with a responsible adult who is 25 year of age, or older.

NOTE:

  • Students accepted into an elementary school (under age 12) are expected to live with at least one natural parent.
  • Any special dietary requests (Celiac, gluten-free, vegetarianism, veganism, etc.) will result in an additional fee and depends on the VIE Hometay Program having a family that can accommodate.

Section 13 Consent

By indicating “Yes” below, I give consent for Victoria International Student Programs to share student name, school placement, grade level and student and parent email addresses with our third party service providers.  Vital English and Survey Monkey require this information to administer our language proficiency assessment and satisfaction survey respectively.  This data is stored on a server located outside of Canada.
