After submitted your Canadian Citizenship application via paper, you will received the application AoR (Cxxxxxxxxx) by email which allows you to verify your application status.

Follow the progress of your citizenship grant application with the Citizenship Application Tracker

Thank you for submitting your application for a grant of Canadian citizenship. Your application was created in our system on September xx, 20xx and is currently in progress.

You can now follow the progress of your application with our Citizenship Application Tracker.

The Citizenship Application Tracker allows you to check:

your application status;
any next steps you need to take;
our progress with your application;
a timeline of your citizenship grant application history.
To create an account, you need:

your unique client identifier (UCI);
your application number;
access to the email address in your application.
If you provided your representative’s email address in your application, they’ll check your status for you.

After you submit your application, it will take several months before you receive your AOR.
We’re now sending AOR letters or emails for applications received from the week of Month DD, YYYY

If you applied on paper
It will take time for your application to arrive by mail.
If you have a tracking number with a courier or postal service, you can check if they’ve delivered your application to us.

If you applied online
We’re currently testing a new online citizenship application with some applicants.
After you submitted your application
you’ll immediately get an email that confirms you’ve successfully submitted your application (this is not your AOR)
we need time to check that your application is complete before sending the AOR
If you’ve already applied on paper, do not submit an online application.

You will need a Unique client identifier (UCI) or client ID and Application number (AoR) to setup a tracking account.

After the registration, you will need to use IRCC’s verification code to enable the account.
