Important information: If you do not have a provincial/territorial court order changing the minor’s date of birth, you must first request an amendment to your immigration document before requesting a different date of birth on the minor’s citizenship certificate.

Appendix C

Gender Change

If you need to change the gender on your citizenship certificate or would like to use a different gender than the one on your immigration document, complete and submit the Request form for a Change of Sex or Gender Identifier [IRM 0002] (PDF, 1.79 MB) with your application.
