The SINP Entrepreneur Program offers you and your family the opportunity to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in its management.
You can apply to the program through the general Entrepreneur Category or through one of the following streams:
There are four criteria in the SINP Entrepreneur Category that you must meet to be approved for nomination:
If you are approved for nomination by the SINP – Entrepreneur Category, you will be required to:
An interview is not obligatory for the SINP – Entrepreneur Category, but we may request an interview if we need to further review your criteria. If you are nominated by the SINP, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is responsible for assessing your eligibility for Permanent Residency, including an assessment of health, criminality and security. The SINP is not responsible for CIC’s decision to grant or deny Permanent Residency status.
If you are nominated under the Entrepreneur or Farm categories, you are required to contact the SINP office within 30 (thirty) days of landing in Saskatchewan as a Permanent Resident or arriving on a Temporary Work Permit to schedule a meeting. Please contact our office at saskentrepreneur@gov.sk.ca with “Landed Meeting Request” in the subject line.
Applications are no longer being accepted under the former process. If you applied to the SINP before October 1, 2009, your application will be considered under that process. All new applications should be submitted through the new Entrepreneur Program process above.
Full details on how to apply can be found in the Application Guide for the Entrepreneur Category.
All necessary forms must be completed for your application to be accepted. Please see the Application Document Checklist for more information.
Our application process currently takes six (6) months from the time we receive your non-refundable processing fee to the time we make a decision on the file.
Please note that all applications to the SINP Entrepreneur and Farm Categories submitted as of October 29, 2010 must include a $2,500 CAD application processing fee (non-refundable). Learn more about the processing fee and payment instructions in the Application Guide for the Entrepreneur Category.
To help us process your application more quickly, when attaching supporting documents for question #6 Personal Net Worth of the Schedule 4A, please clearly state which account, property, asset, etc., the document is related to. This will also help us to accurately review your net worth.
