As per subsection 22(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, applicants who have a dual intent to seek status as temporary workers and then eventually as permanent residents must satisfy the officer that they have the ability and willingness to leave Canada at the end of the temporary period authorized under section 183 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The applicant must be able to demonstrate that they will have the incentive to depart Canada when their work is complete (e.g., operation of a rib stand at a festival) or the business closes.Read more

The permanent resident card (PR card) has been updated with enhanced security features and to keep pace with changing technology.
New permanent residents (PRs) will automatically receive the new card as part of the immigration process. Current PRs only need to get a new card once their existing card expires. In the meantime, their existing card is still valid.Read more

When your sponsor receives your forms and supporting documentation, he or she will forward these together with his or her application to sponsor and supporting documents to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga (CPC-M), Canada.
